Kyle Cooke Reveals Why He Hasn't Filed for Divorce From Amanda Batula Yet
Summer House star Kyle Cooke is breaking down the reason why he and estranged wife Amanda Batula haven't legally separated yet. During entertainment outlets’s Virtual Reali-Tea Awards 2026 on Tuesday, October 6, Cooke explained, “It's been a little slow going. She was busy, I was busy.”
Cooke and Batula were married for four years before announcing their separation in January. Since then, Batula has begun dating co-star West Wilson, who previously dated ex-friend Ciara Miller. In a Summer House bonus episode, Wilson admitted to growing closer to Batula during summer 2025 but claimed they didn't kiss until February.
Wilson reflected on his relationship with Batula in the same special, stating, “I haven't got to the point where I’ve told her or myself that I’m in love or not. But I do love her and have.” He added that he cares deeply for Batula, saying, “I have cared about her for a very, very long time.”
Us Weekly confirmed in June that Wilson and Batula wouldn't be returning to film season 11 of Summer House due to focusing on their relationship. That same month, an individual close to the situation reported that Wilson and Batula are still together, noting that both parties believe they can now be a normal couple again.
As for Cooke, he has been spotted with fellow Bravo personalities Meghan King and Salley Carson. When reflecting on completing another successful season of Summer House, Cooke expressed gratitude in a September Instagram Story video: “We just wrapped season 11, another one in the books. Can’t tell you how lucky and fortunate I feel to have been able to come back and film and make the most of the summer.”
For now, it appears that Cooke and Batula will eventually finalize their legal separation, though no definitive timeline has been set. As they continue navigating their post-split lives, attention from fans and media outlets persists.
