Brenda Dickson Faces New Restraining Order Request

Brenda Dickson, former star of The Young and the Restless, is facing a new legal challenge after a man sought a civil harassment restraining order against her. Richard Chamberlin, a property maintenance worker and renter in the same building as Dickson, submitted court documents alleging that Dickson physically assaulted his daughter, Isabella, during an incident on July 8. Chamberlin also claimed that Dickson bumped his daughter with trash bags, made threats, and verbally harassed several people over two months.

Court records show that the judge refused to grant a temporary restraining order, citing insufficient evidence of harm or intent to cause emotional distress. A hearing will now take place on August 24 to consider the request. This development follows Dickson's arrest in July for alleged misdemeanor battery, which is still pending.

Dickson was arrested and released on her own recognizance on July 8, just hours before filing the current restraining order request. At the time of reporting, Dickson had not publicly responded to the allegations.

The judge scheduled a hearing for August 24 to review the merits of Chamberlin's allegations. Until then, it remains uncertain how this latest development will affect Dickson's ongoing case related to the original assault charges.
