Andy Cohen, host of Watch What Happens Live, recently spilled the tea on why he's finally welcoming Tracy Tutor and Leah Remini to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills (RHOBH) family. Speaking on SiriusXM's Radio Andy in September, Cohen revealed that both women had been under consideration for years before making the cut for Season 16.

"We have been dancing around both of them for years," Cohen confessed, implying a prolonged period of negotiation. This statement suggests that Bravo wasn't exactly eager to bring these two personalities onto the show. However, their persistence paid off, and both women will be joining the cast as full-time members.

One of the main reasons Cohen cited for bringing Tutor aboard was her natural fit within the group. "Every time she's on, it is very clear that this makes very good sense," he stated. It seems Cohen values connections between cast members, as evidenced by his earlier discussion with Tutor during her appearances on Watch What Happens Live. Their conversations were characterized as a "public flirt" over whether she would join RHOBH.

Tutor previously starred on Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles and shared her excitement about joining RHOBH on Instagram in August. In a brief post announcing her involvement, she wrote, "Beverly Hills is home. I've raised my girls here, built my career here, and now apparently I've decided to let you all even further into my life."

In contrast, Cohen revealed that Bravo took a more discreet approach when courting Remini. "And Leah Remini, we have spoken behind the scenes for several years about this with her," Cohen explained. He praised Remini's tough yet charming personality, stating, "She's also, like, tough. I mean, she really has it."

Remini eventually confirmed her casting via social media, responding simply with "It's true." Cohen celebrated the news in her comments section, writing, "AT LONG LAST!"

Cohen also shared an update on production, stating that filming for the new season had already begun. According to him, progress was moving quickly, with the crew working at an impressive pace: "going gangbusters."

While we can expect returning cast members Kyle Richards, Sutton Stracke, Erika Jayne, Dorit Kemsley, Bozoma Saint John, Rachel Zoe, and Jennifer Tilly as friends of the show, Tutor and Remini are set to shake things up as they become permanent additions to the group.
