The Real Housewives of Atlanta Star Angela Oakley Defends Her Claim About George

Angela Oakley insists she "did not lie" about Ashley Byrom's husband George being involved with Shamea Morton in a recent interview with Gabbing With Gib.

During the conversation, Oakley recalled making an initial phone call to Ashley Byrom to discuss the allegations. She stated, "I felt like it was necessary for me to at least call his wife and say, 'Hey, he said some things and I may have to bring it up.'"

When asked about her motivations, Oakley downplayed any malicious intentions, saying "it was just. this Housewives. Like, if this girl keeps talking about me, I'm going to say something." She claimed that during their conversation, Ashley appeared unconcerned about the mention of her husband's involvement with Shamea, describing it as "an eagerness for me to bring it up."

Oakley also addressed the Ring camera footage released recently, expressing puzzlement about its significance. "Like, even in the episode, I'm like, 'I went next door,'" she explained. "And if I went next door, you threw me under the damn bus."

In response to claims that she had lied or set Shamea up, Oakley argued, "You took this as though I tried to interrupt your marriage. I gave you the common courtesy and set the call to you like, 'Hey, girl.if this comes up, how do you feel about it?'"

The RHOA three-part reunion is scheduled to premiere August 9 at 8:00 p.m., where the controversy surrounding these allegations is likely to continue.
