In an Instagram story, Gomez posted a picture of herself with a newborn baby, captioning it "One day". This subtle hint has led fans to wonder if the singer and actress is already planning to become a mother.

The "Only Murders In The Building" actress has been open about her desire to start a family in the past. On the set of the "Wizards of Waverly Place" sequel series, "Wizards Beyond Waverly Place", Gomez reflected on playing the role of Alex Russo, saying "Alex Russo is a mommy. Hopefully one day that'll be me." Her words were accompanied by a clip from her final episode on the Disney+ series.

When appearing on the Jay Shetty show alongside Blanco, Gomez expressed her enthusiasm for becoming a mother. "I don't know what will happen, obviously," she said, "but I love children. I love making laugh; they're just so sweet. So absolutely, when that day comes, I'm so excited for it."

Blanco corroborated his wife's sentiments, highlighting her natural ability to connect with young children. "Immediately go to the kids and has these conversations for hours with the kids," he described Gomez's interactions with children.

However, Gomez previously confided in Vanity Fair about her health struggles, stating "I haven't ever said this. but I unfortunately can't carry my own children." She attributed her condition to ongoing battles with Lupus and bipolar disorder.

Despite this, Gomez reassured that she is exploring alternative options, noting the blessings of surrogacy and adoption: " I'm in a much better place with that. I find it a blessing that there are wonderful people willing to do surrogacy or adoption, which are both huge possibilities for me."
