Reality TV stars Brendan Fitzpatrick and his wife, Chloe de Serigny, are facing a new lawsuit accusing them of scamming their friend out of $2 million. The lawsuit was filed by Max Jan Fowles-Pazdro, who claims the couple made "desperate pleas" for a loan that would fund a deposit for a real estate project in the United Kingdom.

According to the lawsuit, Brendan, 37, and Chloe, the daughter of a Canadian billionaire, allegedly promised Max and his wife, Parisa, that they would repay the funds within six weeks. However, the couple is accused of failing to pay back a dime to Max as they continued "to live — and present themselves to others as living — in the lap of luxury."

The alleged scam began when Max and his attorneys claimed he knew Brendan and Chloe from Los Angeles but grew closer to them in Miami in 2024. Over the course of several months, the suit claims Brendan and Chloe took Max and Parisa on lavish trips, including a trip to the south of France and a visit to Chloe's mother's house in Montreal.

Then, in January 2025, Brendan allegedly told Max he needed 1.3 million euros for a real estate project in the UK, and ultimately, Max and Parisa provided him with the money and an additional guaranteed £10.5 million loan. Despite promises to repay the loan, Max claims Brendan and Chloe have failed to return even a single penny.

As noted by a September 4 report from the New York Post, Max claimed Brendan and Chloe promised him and his wife, Parisa, they'd pay them back, even if they had to enlist help from Chloe's billionaire mother, Sophie, the daughter of former Power Corporation of Canada chairman Paul Desmarais.

"We will absolutely have this resolved tomorrow," the Fitzpatricks allegedly wrote in a message to Max and Parisa. "f not I will be borrowing from my mother in law …. We get funds by 2 or I will get them from her. I will say it's life or death." Another message reportedly said, "We are good hang on. We've waited this long. We can hang tight for a little more hours."

Brendan and Chloe also allegedly referred to Max and Parisa as "family," assuring them that they would pay them back in a timely manner. They then told Max and Parisa they'd double what they owed them and pay them $4 million, but, according to the lawsuit, they never did.

Max and his attorneys claim that since Brendan and Chloe have refused to pay them back, Max and Parisa have received notices of default on properties, a loss of a credit line, and have been forced to sell a property to make up for the debt. Max is seeking damages, including attorneys' fees and the loan plus interest.

This new lawsuit adds to the growing list of financial woes facing Brendan Fitzpatrick. In addition to Max's lawsuit against him, Brendan is being sued for over $80 million by ex-investors, a bank, and others after being accused of running a Ponzi scheme to elicit hefty investments.
