Housewives Community Comes Together to Support Brandi Glanville Amid Health Issues

The Real Housewives community has rallied around Brandi Glanville, launching a GoFundMe to assist her with various treatments, surgeries, and continued recovery following more than three years of dealing with a mysterious facial disfigurement.

Glanville, 53, has previously disclosed spending $113,000 in an effort to treat the condition, but with mixed results. Her diagnosis includes "highly resistant ESBL Klebsiella and Enterobacter with biofilm, Coccidioidomycosis (Valley Fever), Demodex dermatitis, and Mononucleosis," which she attributes to filming Real Housewives: Ultimate Girls Trip in Morocco in 2023, though the season remains unaired due to ongoing litigation between cast member Caroline Manzo and Bravo.

Several members of the Real Housewives franchise have contributed to the GoFundMe drive. Kyle Richards donated $500, while Camille Grammer gave $200. In response to a question about why she donated, Grammer said, "I remember when she sent me flowers when I had my hysterectomy for uterine cancer. I thought that was very sweet of her. I wanted to return the favor, and I feel bad for what she’s going through."

Vicki Gunvalson also contributed $500 to support her friend, while Claudia Jordan, a former Real Housewives of Atlanta alum, donated $100. Jordan explained her donation habits: "Sometimes I make it anonymously; sometimes I let my name appear. I feel so bad for her and I can’t imagine how helpless she may be feeling."

On her podcast, Unfiltered, Glanville expressed frustration regarding the financial strain caused by her health issues, stating, "I’m on all of this crazy medication, even with my insurance, it’s $7,000 a week. Then, I have creditors calling me all day." When discussing the GoFundMe campaign, Glanville confessed, ", Gina, started a GoFundMe for me. I'm embarrassed, honestly, 'cause I don't like to ask for help."

Her cohost James Maas attempted to reassure Glanvil, emphasizing, "You need a GoFundMe. You’re the last person that wants to ask for help. When you don’t even have money … you’ll take me out to a fancy dinner or something like that. … You’re just the most giving person and you don’t want to take anything from anyone even before this."

As of publication, friends and fans have raised over $10,000 towards the goal of $28,000.
