Kim Zolciak Fought Ex-Husband Over Son's Phone Before Arrest

Court filings show Kim Zolciak raised concerns after Kroy Biermann restricted her access to their children and took their phones in February 2025. The dispute occurred during the couple's contentious divorce proceedings in Fulton County.

Zolciak filed an emergency hearing motion on February 18, 2025, claiming Biermann had made a redacted discovery involving their children before seizing their phones. She also requested an in-camera inspection, where a judge would review the evidence in private, citing grave concerns for the children's safety and well-being.

According to the documents, Biermann allegedly restricted Zolciak's parenting time and blocked her communications with their children. He unilaterally directed her to cease all interaction with them. The motion specified concern about the eldest child's cellphone and its data.

A subsequent filing referred to this as a private judicial review of the child's cellphone and its contents. The records of the review remain sealed, and no public information reveals what was discovered.

This revelation resurfaced after KJ Biermann, now 16, faced seven felony charges related to alleged misconduct on his phone, including involvement with an underage family member. However, entertainment outlets noted it couldn't determine whether there was a direct link between the original phone dispute and the later allegations.

Jason Sheffield, KJ's lawyer, disputed the claims, saying his client is "presumed innocent" and remains so. Zolciak described the allegations as "deeply troubling."

Sheffield clarified that earlier reports centered around "inappropriate, crude behavior among two middle school students." This incident didn't result in a conviction for statutory rape or a related charge.
