RHOC Star Reacts to Fellow Cast Member's Tongue Cancer Battle

Gina Kirschenheiter spoke exclusively to Us about her friend Jeana Keough's struggle with tongue cancer. Their shared acquaintance created a sense of awareness within Gina about Jeana's situation, making the news hit closer to home.

When questioned about his friend's well-being, Gina revealed: “I just gave her really big hugs the night that I did see her.”

Kara Keough, Jeana’s daughter, initially announced her mother's diagnosis in July. Updates followed as Kara monitored her mother's progress. On July 31, Kara reported that her mother recognized almost a year prior that she had a lingering sore on her tongue. An update later stated that Jeana finished her chemotherapy treatment and would undergo only two more days of radiation before beginning her recovery phase after next week's sessions.

Regarding Jeana's personal experiences during this challenging time, Gina felt empathy for her struggles, particularly since Jeana had recently become involved with someone new and was facing difficulties despite having reached a point where things seemed hopeful.

“What was so sad too? She met this great guy,” Gina said, “and was excited about that. And then this all happened.”
