Court records show that Kim Zolciak filed a motion seeking an emergency hearing in February 2025, citing concerns over her access to their children and the restriction of communication between them. According to the filing, Kroy Biermann allegedly took possession of the children's cellphones and prohibited contact between Zolciak and the kids after claiming a "discovery" that remains undisclosed.

On February 18, 2025, Zolciac filed a motion requesting an in-camera inspection, where a judge would privately review evidence outside the public record. However, the specific reason for this request was not disclosed, although a later filing referenced an order regarding the inspection of their "eldest child's cellular telephone and the data thereon."

Zolciac also alleged that Kroy informed a court-appointed neutral mental health professional about the disputed finding on February 7, 2025. In the document, Zolciac declined to detail what was reportedly discovered: "In protecting the best interests of the children, Mother will not put into this public pleading what is alleged to be on REDACTED."

Following these developments, Zolciac accused Kroy of severely limiting her access to the children, stating he unilaterally barred her from seeing them and confiscated their phones to prevent further communication.

Since his arrest on August 17, KJ Biermann has been detained at Atlanta's Metro Regional Youth Detention Center.
