Leslie Kuhn, the ex-assistant of radio personality Howard Stern, has refused to let her contentious legal fight over confidentiality agreements end quietly. In a recent development, Kuhn has filed an appeal seeking to revive her lawsuit against Stern, his wife Beth, and their companies. At stake is the validity of two disputed documents: a 2022 confidentiality agreement and a 2025 non-disclosure agreement (NDA).
According to court documents obtained by entertainment outlets, Kuhn filed the appeal on September 9. Her goal is to reverse the July 29 ruling that ended her lawsuit. This latest move could potentially bring the NDA fight back before an appeals court, keeping Kuhn's legal battle with Stern alive.
Kuhn argues that these agreements should have no legal force. She maintains that she never agreed to them, despite an email from her account stating "Signed NDA attached" along with an electronic signature. Kuhn previously claimed that One Twelve, Stern's production company, created the disputed agreements in her name without her knowledge or consent. However, a judge rejected this argument, labeling it a "bald assertion."
In an earlier lawsuit, Kuhn had sought to have the agreements declared unenforceable, citing concerns that they prevented her from speaking freely about what she characterized as a toxic work environment during her time at Stern's office. Kuhn also alleged that she was promised a higher salary – up to $265,000 – and an additional $80,000 bonus if she stayed on with the company. These claims were made in response to being fired from her position under "immense pressures," reportedly due to household and animal rescue activities.
Stern's attorney, Andrew Mark Goldsmith, responded to Kuhn's allegations by calling them "frivolous." Despite this dismissal, Kuhn continues to challenge the agreements through her appeal. If successful, this would allow her to discuss her experiences working for the Sterns more openly.
With this new development, the outcome of Kuhn's appeal will likely determine whether she can speak publicly about her time working for Howard Stern and his family. The case remains ongoing, leaving one question unresolved: Will Leslie Kuhn be granted the freedom to discuss her time working for the Sterns? Only further developments will tell.
