Beyond the runways and presentations, the Spring 2027 season has seen no shortage of parties popping off across Manhattan—with plenty of celebrity names on the guest lists too. Here's a look inside the events everyone is still talking about.
In SoHo's hotspot Raoul's, an assembly of well-known faces gathered over steak and stripes for one reason: a celebration of Banana Republic and La Ligne's new collaboration. Zoey Deutch, the face of the campaign, giggled with Zac Posen over dirty martinis as they admired the collection's smooth nubuck barn coats, perfectly-cut corduroy pants, transitional shell trenches, and impeccably striped sweaters. "The only complaint of this whole collaboration is that the shopping bags aren't big enough to take it all home!" joked Gaby Keiderling, one of the trio of La Ligne founders.
CFDA Fashion Award-winning designer Willy Chavarria and Ugg have put their heads together for a new collaboration—and on Wednesday night, they were ready to celebrate. Partygoers made their way to Ray's to witness a fleet of stylized motorcycles led by the Aztec Rebels—a Latino bikers club—sweeping around the block, adding a jolt of energy throughout the Lower East Side. Look closely and you could see that the leather-clad bikers were all decked out in the new Ugg x Willy Chavarria Biker Boots, too. "I've been a member of the Rebels for about four years now," said Leonardo Gonzalez. "And when we got the call from Willy asking us to help amplify tonight's event—we absolutely said yes!"
Meanwhile, at Cristina Grajales Gallery in Tribeca, Julia Sloan headlined the intimate cocktail hour; a celebration marking the launch of her new capsule collection on Moda Operandi. Fluid draped dresses and architecturally-leaning blouses were given a test drive by the haut monde, who alternated between admiring the gallery's avant-garde curations and unlatching the oversized shells on a banquet table to see the handwritten messages inside. Sloan explained how the brand started in the pandemic as a way to support women in Mexico: local female artisans make each garment by hand at their homes. "All of our pieces are made with so much soul and love, so to feel that tonight—and with everyone gathered together in this room—means the world," she told Vogue.
New York Fashion Week's opening bell was still ringing on Wednesday evening when eBay and the CFDA turned back the clock with Endless Runway: The Archive—a one-night-only retrospective celebrating the designers, garments, and moments that have shaped American style. Curated by Carlos Nazario, the exhibit brought together more than 150 rare and covetable pieces, including a vintage Bob Mackie gown worn by Miley Cyrus on The Voice in 2017, a Marc Jacobs Fall 2001 dress infamously seen on Winona Ryder during her shoplifting trial, a Tom Ford for Gucci Spring 1996 mini, and a reimagined Michael Kors Collection slip dress.
At the center of the evening was a fun-filled eBay Live auction hosted by Jenna Lyons, brimming with items from Anna Sui, Donna Karan, Halston, Isaac Mizrahi, Ralph Lauren, Todd Oldham, and Virgil Abloh, plucked from the website. There was also contributions from the archives of Calvin Klein Collection, DVF, Jason Wu, Proenza Schouler, Tommy Hilfiger, Vera Wang, and Willy Chavarria, ensuring that no shortage of fashion history relics were flashing by.
Finally, Target gave a sneak preview of its two-day New Museum retail experience, transporting guests back in time with Madonna's Like a Prayer playing overhead while a conveyor belt showcased collaborations of yore and a film strip chronicled the evolution of the retailer's shopping cart. One couldn't help but be bowled over by the size of the Montblanc briefcase that greeted guests on Tuesday evening at the Crane Club in Manhattan's Meatpacking District.
These parties elevated New York Fashion Week beyond runways and presentations by offering a unique blend of entertainment, creativity, and community. They provided a platform for celebrities like Zoey Deutch, Zac Posen, Rachel Brosnahan, and Zazie Beetz to mingle and show off their personal styles. The events also highlighted the importance of diversity and inclusivity in fashion, with designers like Julia Sloan and Willy Chavarria using their platforms to promote social justice and support underrepresented communities.
As these gatherings play out within the Spring 2027 season's overall narrative, it remains clear that New York Fashion Week is not just about showcasing designs, but also about creating experiences and connections that will last long after the runway lights dim.
