PK Allegedly Purchases $1.2M Debt Tied to Former Family Home
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills personality Paul “PK” Kemsley has reportedly made a major move in his ongoing divorce battle with Dorit Kemsley. According to Attorney Ronald Richards, PK purchased the second deed of trust tied to their former family home for $950,000.
Richards stated that PK’s company bought the deed of trust from an unspecified entity, giving PK control over the debt and allowing him to act as the lender instead of having it managed by a third party. PK can now use this debt to mitigate his own financial losses in the divorce, including the possibility of using it as an offset against any claims Dorit makes.
The second deed of trust on the property totals around $1,201,175.94, meaning PK acquired the debt at a nearly $252,000 discount. Richards claimed that this acquisition could help the family avoid a foreclosure by an outside party and give them greater control over what happens to the property.
Dorit personally guaranteed the note, putting her at risk for judgment on the outstanding balance, along with accumulating default interest, attorney fees, and other costs. The total amount owed on the note currently stands at just under $1.5 million, but exactly how much Dorit will owe if she defaults remains unclear.
As part of the agreement, Dorit was expected to vacate the home by November 1, 2026. With this new twist, however, it seems even more likely that PK's purchase will significantly affect the outcome of their divorce negotiations. But one thing is certain: this is not the last word on this contentious saga.
