Porsha Williams Discusses Current Status With Shamea Morton and K. Michelle
In an interview following filming on The Real Housewives of Atlanta (RHOA) season 17, Porsha Williams revealed where she stands with former cast members Shamea Morton and K. Michelle. According to Porsha, her relationships with both women are uncertain but hopeful for the future.
When discussing her friendship with Shamea, Porsha said she wants to focus on positive connections rather than dwelling on negativity. "It just is what it is," she stated, noting that she's concentrating on those who respect her boundaries. However, Porsha seemed hopeful about moving forward with Shamea, stating, "I know what I felt, but I felt this way before. I felt hopeful about us moving forward before."
As for K. Michelle, Porsha admitted uncertainty regarding their future together. She noted that their first scene of season 18 would likely reveal whether they're making progress or not. This comes after K. Michelle claimed Shamea's mom had called her a "Jezebel." When asked about the alleged diss, Porsha refused to engage with the topic, citing her love and respect for her mother as well as others' loved ones who join the show without pay.
Porsha also addressed recent drama involving fellow housewife Drew Sidora. While Porsha suspected Kelli Potter might have muted her name on Instagram due to algorithm concerns, she offered no further comment on the situation.
Moving on to another hot topic, Porsha weighed in on Nene Leakes returning to RHOA. Despite acknowledging some initial hostility towards Nene during her last stint on the show, Porsha remained confident in her ability to handle any potential backlash should Nene return. "Can I see her with this cast? Of course. But I think the last season she left it was like everybody wanted to attack the queen," Porsha recalled. "So you already see how the little birds are chirping now. The birds are chirping now so if the queen came back, they’d probably be chirping at her too, but she can handle it."
Additionally, Porsha shared thoughts on her divorce from Simon Guobadia. Although he suggested she incurred debt despite having a million-dollar home and cash settlement through the finalized prenup, Porsha expressed confidence in securing her financial stability alongside her daughter. She joked about wishing him well while emphasizing her determination to move forward positively.
Regarding co-parenting with Dennis McKinley, Porsha reported things were going smoothly between them. She encouraged fans to avoid focusing on their personal lives by sharing advice: “Don’t worry about personal life,” instead advising viewers to start fresh with most cast members and aim for positivity.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta season 17 reunion concludes on Sunday, August 23, at 8/7c on Bravo.
