RHOC Alum Jeana Keough Completes Radiation Treatment After Tongue Cancer Diagnosis

Jeana Keough, a former cast member of The Real Housewives of Orange County, has finished her radiation treatment following a diagnosis of tongue cancer. Her daughter, Kara, posted an update on the couple's GoFundMe page, stating that Jeana completed her final radiation session yesterday and will face a challenging two-week period as her body adjusts to compounded effects of chemo and radiation.

A biopsy earlier this summer revealed Jeana's fear of having squamous cell carcinoma of the tongue, which Kara believes may have been present for nearly a year before diagnosis. A painful spot on Jeana's tongue was first mentioned when visiting friends in Florida months ago; despite multiple visits to the dentist to alleviate discomfort, no underlying issue was discovered until a biopsy confirmed Kara's suspicions.

As a result of her inability to work, Jeana faces financial difficulties stemming from her commission-based job. Donations to the GoFundMe campaign are providing essential support during this trying time.

Kara reports one recent victory: encouraging Jeana to take small amounts of water over the last two days, helping prevent possible swallowing problems. While progress is being made, finding a suitable nausea treatment remains elusive. Immunotherapy awaits further evaluation.
