TYLER DUCKWORTH, CHALLENGE ALUM, DEAD AT 44

Sad news for The Challenge family: Tyler Duckworth’s mother, Joni, announced her son’s death on Facebook. “My son, Tyler, passed away earlier this week,” she wrote. “Cause of death has yet to be determined.”

According to the Grand Forks Police Department, authorities were dispatched to Duckworth’s residence after a neighbor reported water coming through the ceiling from his apartment on Tuesday, Aug. 11. He was found deceased in the bathroom. There currently appear to be no signs of foul play or suspicious circumstances surrounding his death. The investigation remains ongoing.

An autopsy is pending, as is a toxicology report. Results from both tests are expected to take approximately 10 to 12 weeks. It’s also unclear how long Duckworth had been deceased, although police noted he was seen the day before.

Duckworth first starred on MTV’s The Real World: Key West in 2006. He later competed on six seasons of The Challenge, winning Cutthroat and Rivals.
