Lisa Vanderpump’s Nephew Still Awaiting Liver Transplant

Made in Chelsea star Sam Vanderpump, 29, is still seeking a liver transplant due to his diagnosis of end-stage liver disease. His situation presents a delicate balance: moving up the transplant list risks further health decline.

On social media, Sam disclosed living with a genetic liver condition and polycystic kidney disease (PKD). This revelation follows a previous bout of severe liver and kidney failure caused by sepsis in December 2024. He announced his diagnosis publicly in October 2025.

During an appearance on Good Morning Britain, Sam mentioned that initially, healthcare professionals estimated a possible transplant timeline within two years. However, with over a year having elapsed since this prognosis, Sam must now confront the possibility of ongoing wait times.

Sam also used the platform to advocate for increased organ donations, suggesting that this could help reduce the current transplant backlog. Specifically, he noted that “We don’t actually have to have 8,000 people waiting for organs on the transplant list.”
