RHOBH Star Kyle Richards Addresses Eviction Drama With Sister Kim After Concerning Photo

Nearly two years have passed since Kyle Richards filed a lawsuit against her older sister, Kim Richards, demanding she vacate a two-bedroom condo in Encino, California. At LAX on Tuesday, Kyle offered an update on her sibling's situation, stating that Kim is "doing better."

In an interview with TMZ, Kyle confirmed that Kim is making strides. "She's doing okay," Kyle said, adding that Kim was "better than" she was amid their eviction drama. The comment came days after Kim was seen barefoot on a park bench, sparking concerns among some observers.

Kim was later photographed in Santa Monica, where she appeared to be engaged in art therapy by painting a picture with just one shoe on her foot. However, according to information provided by TMZ at the time, all seemed well between the sisters, and Kyle had reportedly helped Kim secure a new living arrangement near the beach.

As part of the settlement, Kim ultimately received a default judgment, which required her to vacate the original property. Details surrounding the case are scarce, but sources suggest that Kyle supports her sister financially. This assertion is echoed by longtime friend and former RHOBH castmate, Teddi Mellencamp, who discussed the situation on her podcast earlier this year. According to Mellencamp, Kyle purchased the home in question for Kim, indicating financial assistance from Kyle to support her sibling's needs.

The property, however, is not Kim's current residence, as Teddi revealed during her discussion on Two Ts in a Pod. When asked about the lawsuit's origins, Kyle simply stated it was "a long time ago." In response to questions regarding the motivation behind the suit, Kyle pointed out that Kim comes from a large family with many loving relatives. As such, she said, "Yes, of course. She has a big family that loves her very much."
