In a candid interview, reality TV star Bronwyn Newport opened up about the tumultuous seventh season of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. Amidst the drama-filled episodes, Bronwyn revealed that she was struggling personally, describing herself as being in a "dark place."

"It's been a challenging season," Bronwyn explained. "I was in a very personally chaotic and messy place, and then so much is going on with all of us." She referenced the recent loss of Mary Cosby's son Robert Cosby Jr., which occurred before the start of filming. Additionally, Whitney Rose and Angie Katsanevas had also separated from their husbands Justin Rose and Shawn Trujillo, respectively.

Bronwyn's own marriage to Todd Bradley was also put under scrutiny during the season. The couple had been together for nine years before separating last year. In an emotional moment caught on camera, Bronwyn recalled how Todd ate the cherry off her sundae without asking, leading to tears. "To watch myself being like, 'Oh, you ahole,' and laugh it off and make these jokes — I didn't want to laugh it off anymore," she stated.

One of the most tense moments between the two came after Bronwyn got a tattoo commemorating the end of their relationship – a cherry on her shoulder. When asked if the incident that led to their divorce was related to the cherry, Bronwyn clarified: "Not because the cherry broke us up and I'm happy about that. Going forward, I always want to notice those things that I'm not saying, that I'm not putting an emphasis on. I don't ever want to be the kind of person who did that to somebody else, and I don't ever want to be okay with somebody doing that to me."

During an intense scene shown in the trailer, Bronwyn and Todd were seen arguing. However, Bronwyn emphasized that Todd had come to her to film the argument, stating: "He came to me about filming those things. Just keep that in mind when you see it: I did not bamboozle Todd into filming ever."

Looking back on her decision to join the cast of RHOSLC, Bronwyn reflected on why she wanted to participate. "Todd had such a big career, and I really felt like a support system for him. Maybe I would make friends, maybe it was an adventure, maybe I'd embarrass myself. I grossly underestimated how it would affect my family," she shared.

The tension between Bronwyn and Todd continued even after filming wrapped. Bronwyn admitted to traveling to New York City to get away from the drama, stating: "It's a nice excuse to be like, I'm in New York right now, and I'll see them when I see them." She added that dating in the city seemed more promising than in Salt Lake City. "For the summer, yeah, I felt like the dating pool, no disrespect but all disrespect, is way better in New York," she said.

As fans eagerly anticipate the continuation of the seventh season, they can catch new episodes every Wednesday at 8/7c on Bravo.
