Despite consulting 21 doctors before receiving answers, Glanville admitted asking for help felt humiliating, but her medical expenses had pushed her toward crowdfunding.

TMZ reported that Glanville's GoFundMe had raised about $7,000 toward its $28,000 goal when it first went public. Notable donors include Kyle Richards, who contributed $500, Claudia Jordan ($100), James Maas ($100), and Camille Grammer ($200). In an interview with TMZ, Grammer explained why she decided to contribute despite their complicated history:

"I remember when she sent me flowers when I had my hysterectomy for uterine cancer," Grammer recalled. "I wanted to return the favor, and I feel bad for what she's going through." This act of kindness occurred during a period when Grammer acknowledged they were not particularly close, yet she still wanted to help.

Camille Grammer is not the only former co-star to contribute to Glanville's cause. Eileen Davidson donated $300, while Vicki Gunvalson contributed $500. An anonymous donor also made a notable contribution of $1,500, which ranked as the largest donation at the time. By September 14, the fundraiser had surpassed $16,000.

Glanville herself discussed the fundraiser through her podcast, Brandi Glanville Unfiltered, breaking down while describing the financial pressure surrounding her treatment. She confessed, "I'm embarrassed, honestly, because I don't like to ask for help," echoing the sentiment shared by some of her friends.
