Reality TV star Heather Dubrow, known for her appearances on The Real Housewives of Orange County, recently shared her frustration with her accommodations at the Four Seasons Hotel in New York City. During a press appearance, Heather took to TikTok to express her disappointment with the makeshift blackout shades in her room, which consisted of pieces of cardboard held together with duct tape.

"So Terry just goes, 'Heather, come in the bedroom and look at how they - he put up the shades, and the blackouts are on. Look at this. Look at the blackout shade,'" Heather said in her post, captioning her video "Not exactly what I expected. What is going on Four Seasons!"

Heather's initial reaction was one of shock and amusement, but as she continued to explain, her tone turned from playful to concerned. "This is the Four Seasons Hotel. By the way, the room's a fortune. It is cardboard and duct tape. And all of the flowers are fake," she stated. "I mean, have we fallen on hard times, Four Seasons? I mean, this is no Jeff Leatham situation, I'll tell you that. Oh my God."

However, soon after Heather's post, a woman named Emily L. chimed in with an explanation for the unusual arrangement. According to Emily, the use of cardboard and duct tape as blackout material is often employed by the US Secret Service when bulletproof glass is not available. She claimed that this scenario had likely occurred in Heather's room due to the presence of high-profile individuals staying at the hotel, including those attending the recent UN meeting.

"Heather's response to Emily's explanation shed more light on the situation, stating, "Someone posted a video stitching my video and saying that the reason the cardboard and the duct tape was on the windows in my room is because that's what the Secret Service do." Heather also spoke with the manager of the hotel, who confirmed that the Secret Service had indeed taken measures to secure the area, although the details of their exact procedures remain unclear.

Despite the initial confusion surrounding the makeshift blackout solution, Heather eventually received satisfactory accommodations, opting for rooms with proper blackout curtains and fresh flowers. In a subsequent post, she expressed gratitude towards the Four Seasons staff, praising them for their exceptional hospitality.
