Initially created as a space for social sharing and connection, MomTok evolved into a business venture without its founders anticipating the full extent of its consequences. Leavitt acknowledges: "I don't think we understood the impact it was going to have. We went in , in my opinion, very naive." She emphasizes the importance of authentic relationships within the community, stating: "It took all of us, because if it didn’t, then you would just have your own show. Sorry.
