Lisa Vanderpump Disputes Handyman Lawsuit Allegations, Blames Negligence

Lisa Vanderpump's lawyers argue in court documents that handyman Eric Nieto's alleged injuries at her Beverly Hills home in 2023 were caused by his own negligence, rather than any fault on her part. In November 2023, Nie-to claimed he suffered serious harm after falling down stairs at Vanderpump's estate, which she had hired him to maintain.

The court filing also states that if a hazardous condition existed, it would have been "open and obvious" to anyone, like Nie-to, who used the area. As a result, Vanderpump's team asked the court to dismiss the lawsuit and deny Ni-to any compensation.

Ni-eto's initial complaint tells a different story. He alleges that Vanderpump hired him to perform work on her estate, including using the interior staircase to reach the basement. He claims that the stairs were poorly maintained, causing him to lose his balance and suffer severe injuries to his lower leg and ankle.

In response to the allegations, Vanderpump continues to expand her television career, set to host Oxygen's Snapped: Rich Bitch Rampage and serve as executive producer for the project. She recently made business moves by listing TomTom and Pump for sale, though both brands remain under her ownership.

Eric Ni-to is seeking $195,000 in damages, covering pain and suffering, medical expenses, and other costs related to the incident. A judge still needs to decide whether to grant Vanderpump's request to dismiss the lawsuit. The ongoing case remains unresolved, awaiting further developments in the courtroom.
