Heather Gay, a cast member of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City (RHOSLC), has responded to a recent revelation made by fellow housewife Mary Cosby regarding fast-forwarding through scenes featuring Heather.

During a conversation with Vulture last week, Mary admitted to skipping through episodes involving Heather, stating, "I'm going to be honest: I absolutely do. Mainly Heather's. I like things to stay consistent, and her consistency kind of falls off, so it doesn't hold my interest."

Heather addressed the situation in a September 22 interview with the entertainment press, laughing off Mary's comment and downplaying its significance. "Oh, yeah, she told me she said that," she chuckled. "That's just Mary! You know, she could say a lot worse. I'm proud that she watches the show at all. We're all busy, so yeah. I can take a few whacks."

In the same interview, Heather discussed the emotional premiere of season seven, which focused on the death of Robert Cosby Jr., Mary's son, who passed away from an overdose in February. Heather praised the sensitive handling of the subject matter, saying, "I watched it back, and I thought it was incredibly moving. It's not an easy task to tackle something so massive and so tragic in a format that is generally less than reverent, you know? We're not known for our sensitivities."

Mary also shared her thoughts on the premiere, expressing admiration for Heather's tribute to her late son. However, when asked if she had any criticism of Heather's portrayal during the season, Mary sidestepped the question, instead pointing out that some cast members are more engaging than others due to their varying levels of screen time.

This exchange follows earlier controversy surrounding Heather's suggestion that season seven would be similar to season four, citing a moment of bonding among the cast as the basis for her comparison. In response to questions about what specifically made these two seasons comparable, Heather emphasized the renewal of "sisterhood" among the cast.

"There was some bonding that happened that we hadn't had since season four. So when I said 'season four, the sequel,' it was more about that moment on the beach where we all kind of just bonded and like, looked at each other and said, like, ’Let’s choose a higher road,’” she explained.

However, when questioned about whether this marked another instance of "receipts, proof, timeline, screenshots" – a reference to the fallout between Monica Garcia and the fan blog community – Heather categorically denied any involvement in such activities or future plans.

“There’s no ‘receipts, proof, timeline, screenshots,’ coming up. there’s always drama,” she assured.
