Carmella Garcia, a star of Bravo's Real Housewives of Orange County, has confirmed that she and her boyfriend Danny Hampel have ended their decade-long relationship. Speaking to entertainment outlets's "Virtual Reali-Tea" podcast on September 17, Carmella revealed that the couple had split "months ago" after ten years together.

According to Carmella, the breakup has left her with mixed emotions. "I feel a range of emotions," she stated. "I feel sad." She acknowledged that the relationship was significant due to its length and because it involved her children. "It was somebody that was around my children," she explained. However, Carmella emphasized that ultimately, she prioritized putting herself first: " I needed to put myself first."

While Carmella didn't specify what triggered the breakup, she hinted that Danny engaged in behavior that made her question trust. "There was just something deep down that I felt like I just didn't trust," she said. "The dishonesty just continued and I called it quits."

Carmella reflected on the challenges faced by her sons, Jason (17) and Jax (15), following the separation from Danny. The family shares children with Carmella's ex-husband, former NFL quarterback Jeff Garcia. "I have to be enough for myself and for him and for my children, and I was never enough for him," she noted. "That's an issue that I feel like is his issue."

In discussing their troubled relationship, which has been depicted on RHOC, Carmella characterized their dynamic as unhealthy. "If I could change it for him, I would, but I can't. The ship was sinking and I needed to save myself," she said.

Carmella also expressed her struggle in watching their relationship problems unfold on television. She mentioned working with therapists to move forward: "I've struggled over the years suppressing pain, and I felt like this is exactly where I needed to be. I needed to walk through it, and the only way through it is straight through it."

During an episode of RHOC, Carmella spoke about her lingering resentment stemming from Danny's infidelity, which occurred four years prior. While she professed love for Danny, she admitted difficulty forgiving both him and herself. On the show, Danny attempted to restore their initial chemistry, stating, "I just want you back to where you felt like the way you did in the beginning. I understand you can’t get there, but." Carmella responded, "I'm not getting over it. I made it through it, but I’m not getting over it."
