On Sunday's episode of Watch What Happens Live, Lisa Barlow opened up about her experiences on Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip (RHUGT) and revealed that her Real Housewives of Salt Lake City (RHOSLC) castmates were jealous of her selection for the show.
"All of them . I think they had a rough time with it," Lisa, 51, shared about her castmates' reactions to her role on RHUGT. This sentiment is likely due to the fact that Lisa is one of several cast members from different franchises who joined forces on the trip. Each franchise typically has its own set of dynamics and personalities, making it challenging for outsiders to adapt.
According to Lisa, The Rhode Island girls - specifically Liz McGraw - were the ones she clicked with most during the trip. She mentioned that she enjoyed their company and found common ground with them. This revelation raises questions about the dynamics between the different franchises represented on RHUGT, particularly since each group brought unique personalities and conflicts to the table.
Lisa also addressed the double standards exhibited by some of her castmates, including Gizelle Bryant. When asked about Gizelle's behavior, Lisa explained that she didn't appreciate being told to apologize, especially when others weren't held to the same standard. For instance, when Porsha Williams was late, Gizelle didn't seem to mind as much as she did when Lisa was late. Lisa expressed frustration over the disparity in treatment, stating, "When I got on the van, I did say I'm sorry, but I was so, you know, the night before was a little rough with my cast popping in. You know what I don't like is when someone tells you to apologize because then they're like, 'Oh, you just apologized because I told you to.'"
Furthermore, Lisa discussed her experience working with Teresa Giudice during the trip. She praised Teresa's easygoing nature and attributed their instant connection to their shared values and life experiences. In Lisa's words, "I feel like it was instant. I feel like we've gone through a lot of things." Her friendship with Teresa seems to be genuine and heartfelt, suggesting that both women share a deep respect for each other.
During the WWHL: After Show, Lisa was asked which co-star she would have liked to swap out if given the opportunity. Surprisingly, she stated that she wouldn't have kicked anyone off the cast, highlighting the strong bonds formed among the group. Despite having only nine episodes, Lisa felt that they could have easily done twenty more, given the camaraderie and fun times they shared together.
Interestingly, Lisa also reflected on her season one photos for RHOSLC, calling them "horrible" and likening her cast to ventriloquists. She claimed that her dress was ripped and that the editing process must have been flawed, leading to unflattering results. When asked about reading comments on social media, Lisa expressed distaste for engaging with negative feedback, saying, "Listen, I don't like to read the comments. But I didn't even have to try to read them. They were so bad."
Ultimately, Lisa Barlow's comments shed light on the complex relationships within the RHOSLC franchise and her experiences on RHUGT. While some castmates seemed to be jealous of her selection for the show, Lisa emphasized the importance of forming connections with those from different backgrounds.
