Gina Kirschenheiter Weighs In On Claims Against Shannon Beador
Real Housewives of Orange County star Gina Kirschenheiter spoke out regarding allegations made by former RHOC producer Patrick McDonald against co-star Shannon Beador. The controversy began when McDonald claimed in an Instagram comment that Shannon "lost her sh*t" and yelled at production staff early into filming.
Shannon was also labeled by McDonald as one of the "most miserable and narcissistic housewives across the entire brand." But in an interview with Virtual Reali-Tea, Gina suggested that the on-screen persona matches her real-life demeanor. Asked if she condoned Shannon's actions, Gina said, "Have I ever done it? No."
Gina did acknowledge witnessing Shannon face challenges, such as dealing with her ex-partner's emotions. These scenes were captured by the show's cameras, implying that what audiences saw reflected actual events rather than manipulation for ratings.
Responding to accusations of mistreating a producer during filming in Season 18, which featured her working alongside Alexis Bellino, Gina pushed back, stating she was "very withdrawn" and denied any wrongdoing. She added, "No, mister, I cooked you dinner and sent you home with a to-go pack," likely referring to an instance where she provided food to the crew member in question.
RHOC airs Thursdays at 8 pm on Bravo, with new episodes available to stream the next day on Peacock.
