Angie Katsanevas Reveals Why She Doesn’t Stay in Touch With RHOSLC Castmates After Filming

In an interview with On Pedestrian TV, Angie Katsanevas discussed her decision not to stay in contact with her Real Housewives of Salt Lake City castmates when they aren't filming. The reason, according to Katsanevas, is to maintain a healthy work-life balance and prevent the show from consuming her entire life.

"Not staying in touch" is how Katsanevas phrased it. "I think I've also learned that summer is just a time to kind of decompress. And if I'm talking about this show from , it can consume your entire life."

She stressed the importance of taking a deliberate break to prioritize her role as a mother: "And I want my daughter to feel that I’m present and … committed to motherhood and to my family. So I take a bit of a break." By doing so, she's able to recharge and focus on her personal relationships without getting drawn back into the show's demands.

Katsanevas acknowledged past conflicts on the show, including a feud last season with fellow housewife Mary Cosby. However, more recently, she expressed support for Cosby following the passing of Cosby's son, Robert Cosby Jr. This dynamic highlights the complex nature of relationships among the RHOSLC cast, which can shift over time.

To maintain her own identity outside of the show, Katsanevas explained why setting boundaries is crucial: “You never want to forget who you are.” By being mindful of her priorities, she believes she remains relatable to viewers like those who appreciate her portrayal as a homemaker and devoted parent: “They watch me because, you know, I’m a homemaker. I love to cook. I love to go into the salons. I love to be with my family and be a part of the community. And they watch you because of who you are.”
