Emily Simpson Admits Struggle with Her Son's Treatment Decisions
Reality TV personality Emily Simpson is navigating a difficult period as she weighs options for her son Luke's ongoing treatment for ARFID and PANDAS.
In an interview, Simpson questioned whether current treatments were having an impact. "I don't know if Luke's any better," she said. "We're still dealing with a lot of the same issues, and we've tried a couple of things."
She described the challenges of making decisions about her child's care. "I go back and forth between continuing and trying to find different therapies for him," she explained. "Sometimes, I think Luke is Luke. Maybe he doesn't need therapy or IVIG treatment. Maybe he just needs to be Luke."
On social media, Simpson has received an outpouring of support from others who have faced similar situations. On Instagram in July, she thanked her followers for their understanding and asked them to share kind messages with their own children.
Simpson has been open about her son's diagnosis since last season's premiere, where she revealed that his doctors had diagnosed him with ARFID. His subsequent diagnosis with PANDAS added another layer of complexity to his treatment plan.
