Kim Richards made a rare public appearance in Santa Monica, months after a legal dispute over her former Encino home. She kept a low profile during the outing near the beach.

A photo obtained by TMZ shows Kim sitting on a bench near the Santa Monica Pier on Friday, Aug. 21. She wore a loose red dress and cowboy hat, with one tan boot on and her other foot bare. The image prompted questions about her circumstances.

TMZ sources said Kim appeared to be painting while sitting near the beach. They also stated that she is not homeless and that Kyle helped her find a place in the Santa Monica area.

This sighting follows months of attention around the sisters' housing dispute. Kyle sued Kim in January and asked her to leave Kyle’s two-bedroom Encino condo. Court records cited by TMZ showed that Kyle had already asked her sister to move out in late 2024.

By the time the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office tried to serve the judgment in June, Kim had already moved out. This marked the end of the eviction drama, which previously became a major topic among fans of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

The case involving the shared Encino condo came to an end when a court entered a default judgment in March, requiring Kim to surrender the property. Her daughters remain in Los Angeles, and she continues to spend time with them.
