Andy Cohen Praises NeNe Leakes After Her Return to Real Housewives
Following her appearance in the premiere of The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Roaring 20th, marking a return to the franchise years after her departure from The Real Housewives of Atlanta and a later legal dispute involving Bravo and Andy Cohen, Andy Cohen made it clear that NeNe Leakes still holds an important place in Real Housewives history.
Cohen reflected on Leakes’ involvement while attending the RHUGT premiere celebration in New York City, praising her contribution: “We couldn’t have celebrated 20 years without her.” He also highlighted her significance to the franchise: “She’s such an important part of the franchise, and it was really fun.”
The drama between Leakes and Bravo seemingly has been put behind them. Earlier this year, Cohen addressed their past issues, viewing the conflict as “in the past,” and described working with Leakes again as “a very positive” experience. When asked about her potential future involvement with the show, Leakes said during a January appearance on The Tamron Hall Show, “If they called, I would answer.” She emphasized moving forward, stating: “We’ve put a lot of things behind us that some people know, some people don’t know. We’ve ended all of those things. We’ve moved forward.”
Leakes joined Vicki Gunvalson, Luann de Lesseps, Porsha Williams, Teresa Giudice, Kyle Richards, Gizelle Bryant, and Lisa Barlow for the special season of Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Roaring 20th.
