RHOSLC’s Seth Marks Defends Son’s Fashion Collection Amid Backlash
Reality TV personalities Seth and Meredith Marks have come under fire after their son, Brooks Marks, faced backlash over his fashion collection. An Instagram user, identified as Justin Cone, recently posted a scathing review of Brooks' designs, prompting a wave of comments.
In the video, Justin Cone criticized Brooks' August 27 collection, calling it "very bad." However, another user responded with support, saying "super proud of him."
Despite the criticism, Seth Marks took to the comment section to defend his son's work. In a post, he explained that Brooks had developed a proprietary fabric called TerryLite, which he claims is lighter, stretchier, and more breathable than regular terry cloth. According to Seth, this attention to detail sets Brooks' collection apart from other designers.
"I'm a little behind on the episodes (planning to binge them) but I'm not sure they captured the patented material he created, so let me say it properly … This tracksuit is made from TerryLite™, a proprietary fabric Brooks Marks developed," Seth wrote.
He continued to express his pride in Brooks' accomplishments, stating, "I'm super proud of him" for creating something unique and innovative. Seth also tagged his wife, Meredith Marks, in the comment.
Meredith eventually responded, firing back at Justin Cone with a sarcastic remark about his claim to fame: being blocked by Paige DeSorbo. For context, Brooks Marks has worked on his eponymous fashion line since 2018, launching his first tracksuit collection in 2019.
Prices for Brooks' comfortable clothing range from $68 to $92, with a matching sweat tote bag going for $46. A complete set featuring all four colors from the collection is available for $1,398.
With Seth standing by his son's designs, fans continue to weigh in on the issue, both praising Brooks' creativity and criticizing his style. The controversy surrounding Brooks' fashion line shows no signs of slowing down.
