Kandi Burruss Opens Up About Ongoing Feud With Tamar Braxton
After recent claims of peace, Kandi Burruss made it clear that her feud with Tamar Braxton hasn't dissipated. An awkward run-in at Essence Festival rekindled years of tension between the two former R&B stars.
On her Speak On It podcast, Kandi explained why she refused to feign friendship with Braxton during their chance encounter at the Black Women in Music event. "I do not like that bch…she is a fake-abch to me," Kandi stated directly, citing her disdain for pretending to be friendly with someone who consistently critiques her.
According to The Jasmine Brand, Kandi had earlier disputed Braxton's account under one of her interviews: "No beef?…but she was just calling me a b*h as she walked pass me at a party last Saturday. Can't do the fake sh*t." This latest episode mirrors the ongoing rivalry between Burruss and Braxton, whose disagreements date back to their time as R&B artists and resurfaced during Celebrity Big Brother. Their conflicts have persisted since 2017, highlighted notably during the Great Xscape Tour. Neither participant shows any inclination to alter their positions; instead, each maintains their original stance. Despite differing viewpoints, the resolution remains unclear.
