Caroline Manzo has spoken publicly about her complex relationship with former friend Teresa Giudice, claiming she attempted to warn Teresa before her infamous cash payment on The Real Housewives of New Jersey (RHONJ). In an interview on the Legally Goff podcast, Caroline shared intimate details about their interactions and revealed her husband Albert Manzo's intense reaction when she confided in him about alleged harassment by fellow cast member Brandi Glanville on Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip (RHUGT).

According to Caroline, she would often "whisper" answers to Teresa on the red carpet during events, essentially serving as her public relations advisor. However, Caroline claimed that she tried to caution Teresa against paying in cash on a shopping trip early in the show, which ultimately led to her investigation and subsequent prison sentence for bank fraud alongside then-husband Joe Giudice.

"Teresa called me the night before and told me she was doing that," Caroline recalled. "And I said to her, 'Why are you doing that, Teresa?' 'Well, it's fun.' I said, 'Teresa, you're only putting $1,000. It's not $10,000 … You're creating a problem for yourself.'" Caroline emphasized her warnings were genuine attempts to protect Teresa from potential consequences.

In a surprising revelation, Caroline hinted that Teresa's later dynamic on RHONJ was akin to a "horse race." When asked directly if she had ever been threatened by Teresa's accusations, Caroline dismissed them: "I was never threatened by it. I don't know if she was or not."

Caroline also addressed the scene where Teresa paid for $120K worth of goods in cash, a decision made despite Caroline's advice. "You have to be a special kind of animal to do something like that," Caroline stated, highlighting the irony of Teresa's actions given her financial situation.

However, one of the most striking moments of the podcast came when Caroline discussed her experience on RHUGT, particularly regarding allegations of harassment by Brandi. Caroline struggled to recall specific details due to traumatic memories but remembered calling her husband every evening after the incident. Her husband's response was overwhelming; according to Caroline, Albert "screaming his lungs out" left her shaken.

"I can't get that out of my head. His voice, all that," Caroline said, recounting the emotional distress caused by her isolation on a different continent while dealing with this ordeal. She continued to express ongoing struggles with processing these events daily, over two years since they occurred.
