RHOC Star Dr. Terry Dubrow Hit by Data Breach Involving SSNs, Medical Records

A data breach at plastic surgeon Dr. Terry Dubrow's practice resulted in hackers accessing sensitive patient information, including Social Security numbers and medical records.

According to notice filed with the California Attorney General, the breach reportedly began in January 2025. The practice confirmed last month that patient data had been taken and began notifying affected individuals.

Compromised patient information included Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers, addresses, birth dates, prescription information, and treatment records. Some patient files also contained procedure images and X-rays.

Dubrow's practice immediately notified authorities after discovering the breach and offered complementary identity protection services to affected patients. They can also opt-in to a $1 million cyber protection insurance policy.

Dr. Dubrow noted that modern hacking methods rely increasingly on artificial intelligence and other technologies. His practice has since invested in enhanced security measures and partnered with a third-party company for ongoing monitoring.

The exact scope of the breach and its potential consequences remain unknown. Authorities continue to investigate the matter.

Affected patients are advised to monitor their accounts closely and review their financial statements carefully.
