Shamea Morton Announces Pregnancy Via Surrogate, Pinky Cole Confirms Fourth Child as Season 17 Wraps Up

The Real Housewives of Atlanta is set to conclude its 17th season with the airing of its three-part reunion beginning on August 9. As the drama reaches its peak, two cast members announced they are expecting children.

During the season 17 finale, Shamea Morton shared the news with her husband, Gerald Mwangi, stating, "We're pregnant." His reaction was brief: "We are? Oh, that's awesome."

In an earlier preview for the reunion, Pinky Cole confirmed she has another bun in the oven, marking her fourth child. When asked about her first season, Pinky said, "I don't even want to ever hear the B-word again. The only B-word that I want to talk about is the fact that I'm having a baby!"

Filming for season 18 will begin in three weeks, following the conclusion of the reunion. Contracts went out two days ago, although Shamea won't be returning, contrary to previous reports. Kelli Potter, however, received a contract to come back.

Pinky also discussed her family planning at length, including her mother's disapproval of further children. When Andy Cohen mentioned his inquiry about Pinky's mom's reaction, Pinky replied, "She was mad as f*ck," adding that she plans to name her daughter Braveisha if born December.
