Reality TV personality Meredith Marks has fired back at criticism over her wig on the latest season of Real Housewives of Salt Lake City (RHOSLC). In a series of posts on social media, Meredith responded to fans questioning her choice of hairpiece, stating that she doesn't owe anyone an explanation.
According to reports, Meredith addressed co-stars who were shading her wig, saying "Let me be clear. I have no visible scars to hide. My doctor is excellent. And no, they do not know why I am wearing a wig. I did not share that information." When asked directly by a fan if she had worn the wig because of a medical condition, Meredith shot back, "Can't I wear a wig just bc I want to? Does there have to be a reason?"
The exchange came after several castmates commented on Meredith's appearance, including her recent facelift. Meredith seemed to suggest that if fans wanted to know about her plastic surgery, they should ask the other housewives as well, implying that they too may have undergone similar procedures without publicly discussing them.
Beyond addressing the wig controversy, Meredith also took a moment to offer some words of encouragement regarding her former friend Whitney Rose's recent divorce filing. In an interview with Us Weekly, Meredith expressed hope that Whitney would find happiness following the split: "I do hope she's doing well and I'm wishing her and her family all the best in whatever the outcome is."
When asked about her own experience with divorce - Meredith and her husband Seth filed for divorce last year - she offered some wry humor, suggesting that sometimes, ending a marriage can lead to unexpected positive outcomes. "But if you really want a divorce, then that's the best thing ever," she quipped. Regardless of the circumstances surrounding their divorces, it seems Meredith is focused on moving forward and supporting those around her. As one could expect from a reality TV star, Meredith is refusing to let the drama get her down.
