Andy Cohen Expects Trouble Joining The Traitors Due to His Reality TV Experience

Andy Cohen doubts he'll receive an invitation to join The Traitors, attributing his hesitation to two key factors: his role as a reunion host and his background in producing competition reality shows. While discussing the future of the Real Housewives franchise, Cohen revealed that producers of The Traitors Peacock series have not reached out to him about competing.

Cohen's job as a reunion host creates concern because he wants to maintain this position. He believes appearing as a contestant would likely lead to his elimination. "First of all, I think I would be eliminated immediately. I host the reunion, which I would like to keep doing. I don’t think I could do that if I were on it," he said.

His production work with competition reality shows also poses a problem. Other contestants may view him suspiciously due to his experience. “But also, I think I would be such a target, and I’ve produced competition reality shows, so I don’t know who would want me on their cast,” Cohen added.

A third reason for his reluctance to participate has nothing to do with strategy – Andy Cohen simply doesn't want to dance on television. In fact, past attempts at dancing have led to embarrassment when recorded footage surfaces online. "I can’t dance on TV. No one wants to see that. I used to be the greatest freeform dancer, and I feel like every time I go to Dead shows, people film me dancing, and then I get made fun of on TikTok. Let me dance in peace," he said.

Currently, Cohen hasn't received an offer from The Traitors producers. With his priorities set on hosting reunions for Bravo, any potential opportunity with The Traitors remains uncertain.
