On this week's episode of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, Bronwyn Newport's house came under scrutiny, with viewers questioning whether Bronwyn, 41, was ever on the deed to the house she shared with her estranged husband, Todd Bradley, 68. Friend of the housewives Britani Bateman, a realtor, pulled up the deed of the house and showed Heather Gay and Whitney Rose that Bronwyn's name was not on it, thus raising doubts about Bronwyn's ownership of the property and highlighting inconsistencies in her story.
In a confessional, Heather, 52, questioned Britani's deduction skills, referring to her as "Inspector Gadget" and implying she didn't necessarily understand the entire picture when she was sharing the intel on the house. This led to Britani feeling hurt and having fans question whether the rumors about Heather not being who she seems are true.
An insider exclusively told Reality Blurb how Britani felt about what Heather said: "Heather insulting Britani on last night's RHOSLC seemingly came out of the blue," the source stated. "Britani has always considered Heather to be a friend, and Heather has always been one to go to bat for Britani." However, the insider noted that Heather sat at the table listening to Britani's information about Bronwyn without taking action, before turning around and basically insulting her intelligence. "Heather sat at that table like a pig in s*it listening to Britani's information about Bronwyn – which was pretty undeniable, given that Britani was showing actual records – and then Heather turned around and basically insulted her intelligence, referring to her as 'Inspector Gadget' and insinuating she didn't have the entire story."
When Heather appeared on Watch What Happens Live after the show, she doubled down on her thoughts about Britani, repeating the insults she had made on the show. The insider noted that Heather had the ability to backpedal on WWHL but chose not to, instead continuing to criticize Britani. "This definitely was hurtful to Britani and has her and fans questioning if all the rumors about Heather not being who she seems are true," they continued. "Maybe Heather was just jealous that Britani was the one who had the information when she's usually one that likes to bring major tea to the group?"
The insider also suggested that Heather should focus on her relationship, which appears to be problematic, rather than focusing on Britani's cognitive abilities and deduction skills. "Perhaps Heather should focus on her 'relationship,' which seems extremely problematic, rather than focusing on Britani's cognitive abilities and deduction skills," they concluded. "That seems like it would be a much better use of her time." To date, Britani has not commented on what Heather said about her, either on the show or on WWHL.
New episodes of RHOSLC air every Wednesday on Bravo at 8 p.m. ET.
