Andy Cohen Reveals Cities Considered for Scrapped Real Housewives Franchises

Andy Cohen returned recently from a trip and got back to the work he is best known for - overseeing The Real Housewives franchise on Bravo. In recent discussions about the show's expansion plans, Cohen touched on the network's consideration of casting potential Real Housewives in several cities.

Cohen said the answer lies in choosing cities that are not obvious choices. He noted that Bravo has tried casting in Nashville, Chicago, and Greenwich, Connecticut multiple times but have yet to find the right groups of women for each location.

When asked about the process, Cohen explained that they've cast wide nets and put groups of women on camera who could be potential Housewives, but haven't found the perfect fit yet. The 58-year-old TV host oversees all 12 American installments of The Real Housewives, including The Real Housewives of Dubai.

The franchise began with RHOC in 2006 and expanded to include new locations over time. Despite its success, Bravo still seeks out new and interesting places to feature in upcoming seasons. It seems Cohen's strategy involves selecting lesser-known locations to breathe fresh life into the series. However, this approach hasn't led to consistent results just yet.
