Kyle Dickard's Arrest Rocks Below Deck Franchise

Reality TV stars are no strangers to controversy, but some Below Deck alums have taken their drama to new heights - literally off the screen. After wrapping up his stint on Below Deck Adventure early, Kyle Dickard found himself in hot water when he ran onto a soccer field during a game in November 2022. According to court documents, Dickard was taken into custody after he resisted being apprehended by security and attempted to run back onto the field.

Dickard's Instagram post, shared shortly after his release, poked fun at the incident, writing "How it started vs. How it ended  I would of scored if I had a belt on…js." However, his behavior caused a stir among fans and fellow cast members alike. The arrest report stated that Dickard's actions "caused the crowd to become unruly" and "incited several others to run onto the field," raising concerns about his accountability.

This is not the only time Dickard has faced legal issues. Following a short stint on season 1 of Below Deck Adventure, he was charged with disorderly conduct, resisting an officer without violence, and bribery by a public servant.

But Dickard isn't the only Below Deck alum who has struggled with the law. Kate Chastain, a fan favorite from the original Below Deck series, was charged with battery by strangulation domestic violence in 2016. The charges were later dropped, but the incident left a lasting impact on Chastain's personal life.

Chastain reflected on the experience in a 2018 interview, stating, "I'm a little more cautious about who I date because people can appear one way and then be totally different." Despite the difficulties, Chastain remains optimistic about her future.

Other Below Deck alumni have also faced their share of legal troubles. Nathan Gallagher was arrested in December 2025 for domestic violence stemming from an incident that took place at his home. He was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm, intentionally choking a person without consent, and common assault.

Trevor Walker, another former reality star, was taken into custody by the Escambia County Sheriff's Office in March 2026 for driving on a suspended license, committing a moving traffic violation, felony DUI, and a separate misdemeanor theft charge.

Captain Sandy Yawn, known for her tough exterior, has spoken out about her own past struggles with alcoholism. She explained how she grew up in a state where underage drinking was prevalent and how it led to multiple arrests for driving under the influence.

Yawn, however, has turned her life around and celebrated 34 years of sobriety in August 2022. Her story serves as a reminder that even those who have made mistakes can change and grow.

Rhylee Gerber, another Below Deck Mediterranean cast member, was arrested for trespassing in 2018. Although the charges were eventually dropped, the incident highlights the importance of taking responsibility for one's actions.

The list goes on - from Ross Inia's disorderly intoxication and battery charges to Baker Manning's alleged involvement in a bar robbery. Even Caroline Bedol, who appeared on Below Deck season 6, faces ongoing larceny charges.

These incidents serve as a stark contrast to the drama-filled lives we see unfold on our screens. But what do these events mean for the cast members' futures within the franchise?
