Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Brandi Glanville has had a tough go at things recently, particularly given her ongoing health crisis involving facial disfigurement, which began in 2023. The situation took another devastating turn with the news of her father's passing.

Brandi shared the sad news via X yesterday, expressing her grief and heartbreak by posting "My dad died. I'm gutted. I hate this life right now" accompanied by a broken heart emoji. This message is not an isolated incident; throughout the year, Brandi had been open about her struggles and those of her family members. In May, while dealing with personal medical issues, she updated fans on her father's condition: "Been completely off the grid," she wrote. "Dad in cardiac unit at the hospital & it's day 13 now. We are both medical mysteries. Pray for my dad Guy Glanville."

This health issue follows a longer period of uncertainty. As far back as September, when thanking supporters who contributed to her GoFundMe for covering medical bills, Brandi mentioned that she had needed to visit her father for their final goodbye. They appeared together on Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars Edition in 2018, during which they mended their often-turbulent relationship. However, after the show aired, they stopped speaking.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight following the show's premiere, Brandi explained, "My dad and I, we left the show in a great space and then, when the show aired, we haven't talked since." She also offered some context regarding her advice to her father before the airing of the show: “You know, he's not done TV before, and I warned him ahead of time, 'They're not going to be able to show everything that we shot. They're going to show the highlights, so you have to write down notes and understand it’s going to be the highlights of what we shot, and don’t get mad – you’re gonna get mad all over again,' and ultimately, he did.” When discussing why she believes they fell out, she said, "It's been quite some time and unfortunately. I’m used to this, it's Housewives, like, I can handle it,” adding, "For him, I think he cares what his friends and everyone was saying about what they saw, and I thought they gave him a great edit, to be honest, ’cause he was a little bit worried.”

Despite the difficult circumstances surrounding their relationship, Brandi expressed love and understanding towards her father, stating, "But, no, we haven’t talked since, unfortunately. But I love him dearly. He’s everything. I’m just, I’m leaving in his corner. Because you know, you know me, I get a little aggressive.”
