A former producer of The Real Housewives franchise has made some explosive claims against Bravo star Lisa Vanderpump amid the ongoing Scandoval controversy. In an interview on Juicy Scoop's August 25 episode, Patrick McDonald accused Vanderpump of orchestrating a setup during his time working on Pump Rules season 10.

McDonald alleged that he noticed unusual behavior from Vanderpump when discussing the personal life of Raquel Leviss. While filming at SUR, McDonald recalled that Vanderpump seemed overly interested in questioning the relationship dynamics between Leviss, Tom Sandoval, and his then-girlfriend Ariana Madix. However, what raised McDonald's suspicion was Vanderpump's secret phone call to Sandoval, allowing him to listen-in on their conversation.

"I caught her red-handed," McDonald revealed, indicating that Vanderpump's intentions may have been far from innocent.

Despite being entangled in the drama surrounding "Scandoval", McDonald shared more positive comments about two other RHOBH cast members - Tamra Judge and Kyle Richards. When asked about his experiences working with these women, McDonald described Tamra as "lovely" and "professional." He praised her treatment of young assistants, stating that she would often engage in friendly conversations with them.

Tamra's co-star, Shannon Beador, however, did not receive similar praise from McDonald. According to him, Beador often appeared overwhelmed by personal crises on set, leading McDonald to characterize their interactions as tense.

In contrast, McDonald had all good things to say about Kyle Richards, calling her "the warmest, most welcoming person I've met in the world of reality TV." He highlighted the affectionate atmosphere within Richards' home, describing how everyone who works or interacts with her shows great respect and admiration.

McDonald also discussed the "pause," a term he uses to describe a strategy employed by producers to manipulate situations and prevent fired cast members from speaking out about potential mistreatment or problems while filming for Bravo.

The incident involving Vanderpump's suspected manipulation raises questions about the integrity of production teams and the motivations behind their actions. Further investigation is needed to determine whether McDonald's allegations will have any long-term impact on the network.
